On April 21st a new airport opened to the public in Nepal
The new Gautam Buddha International airport opened last Friday at the foothills of the Himalaya mountains near the border with India.
The new Airport is located at an elevation of 346 feet (compared to 4500 at Kathmandu) and has a single 3000m long runway.
The airport is currently operating domestic flights only and plans to go international in mid-May.
