Joby Aviation announced yesterday the company has completed phase three of five in the process of achieving part 135 certification.
Phase three includes mostly manuals
Phase four is all about instruction and training of pilots.
The company expects to achieve certification next year.
Unlike most manufacturer Joby is looking to be also the operator.
Last month one of the two experimental vehicles operated by Joby was involved in an aerial accident.
