The FAA has finally published a DRAFT AC for Flight Path Management.
AC stands for Advisory Circular – These documents outline what the FAA recommends and expects from operators.
The document’s interim designation is AC 120-FPM.
In what appears to be the transformation of SAFO 17007 to an AC, The FAA calling for establishing operational policy to include development and maintenance of FPM to include not only Flight Simulator training and checking, but also during regular, routine line flying to include manual flying with and without flight director and Autothrottle.
The public is invited to comment until March 5th 2022.
